Technologies & Resources - Germany

Brief info

With the turn of the millennium, my personal wake-up call kicked in and I became interested in the technologies and systems that help save our planet from worse. I realized that much more effort is needed to achieve the turnaround. It's not a matter of panicking, but of pointing out the opportunities for improvement that already exist and advocating for change with vigor.

From a technological point of view, there are already many possible solutions; they "only" need to be heard by those responsible and tackled more consistently and more quickly. A "just carry on like this" will end in disaster for all of us.

I am particularly interested in renewable energies. In the field of wind energy, Germany is continuing to develop with the aim of making nuclear energy and coal-fired power generation superfluous and generating hydrogen from wind energy as a substitute energy source.
But there is also gigantic potential in the area of materials recovery, how we can relieve our environment and use our raw materials more responsibly. Here, there is already a wealth of experience from many years of successful recycling, which we want to make available to market participants (know-how transfer).
And that was exactly the reason I joined the IeRM team, because they understand the urgency of what needs to be done and have a highly competent team of experts who are able to deliver integrated solutions from planning to implementation and ongoing operations that can ensure true sustainability in the long term.
