Brief info

Dr. Honour served as Founder, Director or Executive of biotechnology firms focused on the discovery and development of new technologies and treatments for infectious diseases and cancer. He serves as Founder, Board member or Advisor for several environmental activist firms with stated missions of educating elected officials, agencies, purveyors of toxic wastes and the public on the adverse consequences of exposure to toxics. His focus is to convert current unsafe practices of toxic waste disposal away from favoring commercial interests to emphasizing safer practices that favor the critical interests of Public Health. Dr. Honour’s background includes investigations of environmental contaminants and pollutants that are the inciting agents of cancer and infectious diseases. His focus is on transforming the current willful and unsafe practices of land and water disposal of toxic wastes by municipal, county, state and federal agencies to safer technologies and methods that remove or inactivate toxics prior to disposal or reuse. His focus includes Land-Disposed Toxic Sewage Sludge and Water-Disposed Toxic Wastewater Effluents from WasteWater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) and Publicly-Owned Treatment Works (POTWs), as well as Toxic Landfill Leachates that are released from Extant and Legacy Landfills. In all cases, these toxic wastes are released to forests, rangelands and farms, as well as to our ground and surface waters.

Dr. Honour holds a Doctorate from the University of California, with a specialty in soil science and microbiology. He specializes in the identification and evaluation of sources, content and adverse effects of toxic wastes, with specific messaging to elected officials, agencies and the public on safer and more functional disposal methods of environmental contaminants and pollutants.
